20 Nigerian Students Awarded Full University Scholarship

Twenty Indigent students across 3 public secondary schools were awarded scholarships on Thursday, 18th August 2022 to attend any Nigerian Federal University of their choice. The award was given to them by the Chief executive officer of TGM Education and founder, first director of Executive one capital services Tolulope Adeusi along with his wife Adetutu Adeusi.

While speaking to the students during the scholarship ceremony which took place at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, he urged them to always be good representatives of the country wherever they find themselves. Tolu further stated that he has various reasons for deciding to award this scholarship. one major reason he cited was his desire to ensure that Nigerian students are not disadvantaged in any way and this cannot be achieved without good tertiary education.

Present at the occasion were notable dignitaries such as Senator Kolawole Bajomo, a former Ogun state senator and former president of ICAN, Honourable Wale Okeshola, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim amongst others.

Speaking at the event themed, ‘Creating a Sustainable Future through Education”, Senator Bajomo noted that Adeusi’s decision to award 20 indigent students full scholarships throughout their University education is a very rare act of kindness that should not be taken lightly by the students. He urged them to always keep the flag flying and to ensure that they also remember to help others when they are in a position of opportunity. Also speaking at the event, Jimoh Ibrahim advised that other well-meaning Nigerians should emulate Tolulope Adeusi as the Government alone cannot cater to all the indigent students in the country. He further added that the scholarship is a way of ensuring that indigent but brilliant students are not denied quality education.

Speaking shortly after the presentation of the scholarship, the Principal of Oregun High School, Mrs. Ojolowo expressed her immense gratitude to Adeusi. He said that by this singular act he has changed the destinies of so many students as they can now attend universities. She added that the students can now realize their full potential and contribute to national development.
