Quality and Standards

The University has a robust Academic Quality Framework for safeguarding academic standards and improving the quality of the student experience.

We provide advice, information and guidance on our corporate policy frameworks, regulations and procedures for our stakeholders such as students, external examiners, staff, collaborative partners and regulatory bodies.

The information available is broadly structured around

  • – approval of new course provision and the criteria for assessing quality and standards
  • – regulations and procedures for assessment of taught programmes and research degrees
  • – guidance documentation such as handbooks for external examiners and link tutors, and the code of practice for research supervisors and students
