COURSE DESCRIPTION

Explore all forms of writing, from historical narratives to literary texts, drama to adaptations, and mediated writing that makes use of technology.  

Leeds is a major digital hub and part of the northern powerhouse. The network of cultural organisations and institutions on your doorstep will offer a wealth of opportunities to add to your CV. You will find Leeds Playhouse and Leeds Literature Festival in the city, with Bradford Literature Festival and Ilkley Literature Festival both a short train journey away.

You will join a vibrant academic community within the School of Cultural Studies & Humanities that includes practising writers and academic staff delivering innovative, multidisciplinary research that will feed into your learning. This course will enable you to take an interdisciplinary approach and draw on other areas of research and culture to inform your creative writing practice.

A focus on employability will be embedded throughout your course. Specialist modules such as Applied Humanities will encourage you to reflect on your skillset.
