COURSE DESCRIPTION

Develop the entrepreneurial flair to kick-start, manage and grow your own business or help an existing enterprise to expand. You will gain a broad understanding of how businesses operate and you will develop the techniques and principles to succeed in today’s economic climate. As well as teaching the overall skills, attitudes and behaviours needed in business, this course will recognise your individual promise and help to shape you as a budding and innovative entrepreneur.

You will be strongly encouraged to take up a work placement, and you will have access to a number of major employers and enterprise expertise within Leeds, the northern powerhouse of the region’s businesses and economy.

As well as having the option to gain work experience on a placement, you will take part in workshops, enjoy guest lectures by industry visitors and work on a consultancy project within a start-up business.

You will also have access to our Enterprise & Innovation Team, who will offer information, advice and guidance to give you the best possible grounding when taking your next step into a new business venture.
