Human Rights and Social Justice BA (Hons) – Kingston University

Oct, 2019
What are human rights? Why have human rights changed in history? Can justice be different between cultures?
On this course you will explore global human rights issues and examine how they can be enforced and defended. The curriculum is organised into three broad streams: the history of human rights, understanding human rights, and achieving human rights.
With an emphasis on active citizenship embedded into our programme we will encourage you to make a contribution to political life in your communities and to become an active participant in a democratic society. You will participate in annual events such as our Human Rights Festival and have access to our Centre for Human Rights Practice, where you can engage with current issues as a researcher, activist, campaigner and blogger, under the supervision of human rights and social justice specialists at the centre.
